Gwinnett County building permits — week of August 24–28, 2026
Dear Gwinnett,
Somebody is building an apartment complex on Crestwood Parkway in Duluth. Five permits went out for five buildings at 3885 Crestwood Parkway, all to Fortune-Johnson, all under the name Solis Crestwood. The largest is $12,308,459 and the smallest of the five is $7,657,438. Four more permits at the same address cover the site lighting, a trash enclosure, another accessory building, and one described as a maintenance and pet wash building. Nine permits, one address.
That one job takes most of the week's commercial money. There was $55,405,684 of commercial work filed across 25 permits, and Crestwood is nearly all of it. The next largest commercial permit is a long way back: $815,760 for PNC Bank at 1925 West Park Place Boulevard in Stone Mountain, filed by Choate Construction.
Richardson Housing Group filed the same house eight times on Tuesday. All eight are on Bethesda Oak Lane in Lawrenceville, numbers 421 through 435, each one $361,686.57 and each one 1,762 heated square feet. On Friday they came back with four more a street over on Bellemere Lane, a little larger, between $503,783.70 and $518,344.89. All twelve are filed as Villages at Bethesda.
After that the week gets small. Decks, water heaters, furnace swaps, a shed in Norcross for $2,000. Named businesses show up in a few places: a convenience store permit for QuikTrip #0718 on Singleton Road in Norcross, $15,000 of mechanical work at Ted's Montana Grill on Scenic Highway, and an $85,000 gas canopy at 5528 Jimmy Carter Boulevard. The one number that stopped me in the small pile was $350,000 to repair fire damage at a house on Beaver Pond Court in Loganville. The oddest filing of the week is a swimming pool. It is at 1165 Ballpark Lane in Lawrenceville, it cost $299,000, and the contractor is a company called Architectural Fountains. The county lists it as Brand Ballpark Lance and describes the work as "Swimming Pool." That is everything the filing says.
