Gwinnett County building permits — week of October 12–16, 2026
Dear Gwinnett,
Somebody is building a 19,500 square foot house on Oak Road in Snellville. The permit came out Wednesday at $3,547,257, with another 9,800 square feet unheated on top of the heated part. It is the biggest filing of the week by a wide margin. The next biggest thing the county issued was a $898,442 house on Shadow Lake Drive in Lilburn. The Oak Road filing lists no contractor at all.
Loganville had the busiest week of any city by money, $6.4M across eighteen permits, and eleven of those eighteen came from two builders. Stanley Martin Homes took out seven townhouse permits in a row on Raelyns Way, numbers 517 through 529, all part of something the filings call Darlington. Six are priced at $380,599 and the seventh at $382,273, and six of the seven are the same 1,891 heated square feet. AMH Development Georgia filed four new houses on Carnelian Lane at the Preserve at Tribble Mill, between $425,621 and $497,088 each.
Nearly all of the week's commercial money was in Duluth. Kaiser Permanente pulled two interior finish permits at 3650 Steve Reynolds Boulevard, $592,763 for one the county logs as comprehensive and $187,534 for one logged as rad/fluoro. The Sonesta Gwinnett Place hotel on Pleasant Hill Road filed a $500,000 interior finish. Also on Pleasant Hill Road, at number 2300, two demolition permits went out under the name Orchid Grove, $162,000 and $153,000, both to Tristar America and both for demolition only.
Twenty-three of the week's 149 permits were commercial, and the small ones are the ones worth a look. A barber school is finishing out a space at 2160 Riverside Parkway in Lawrenceville for $32,800. A martial arts studio is going into Park Place Boulevard in Stone Mountain for $11,500. beMatrix on Belle Meade Court filed $35,528 for racking and nothing else, and a shop called PrintPro Graphics on Hurricane Shoals Road filed $2,400 to do car wraps.
