What's getting built in Gwinnett County

Gwinnett County building permits — week of January 12–16, 2026

Dear Gwinnett,

The Quan The Am Vietnamese Temple on Arc Way in Norcross is getting an $850,000 remodel. That is the largest commercial permit of the week by a long way. The next one down is $112,000 of work on a gas station on Stone Mountain Highway in Snellville.

Out in Grayson, all six suites of a retail building on Athens Highway were permitted at once. Suites A through F, $20,000 apiece, every one of them filed as spec space with no tenant named. Somebody is building a strip and worrying about who fills it later.

The houses came in blocks. Beazer filed five townhouses in a row on Sunset Hollow Street in Buford, $504,788 each, part of Towne Village at Suwanee Dam. CCG Constructors filed six on Copelyn Reese Court in Lawrenceville at $374,407 each. The two priciest permits of the week were both single houses: $1.17M on Camp Perrin Road in Lawrenceville, which names no contractor, and $1.09M for a 5,500 square foot place on Tea Olive Drive in Buford.

141 filings, but only about $14M between them. Sixty-eight of those were one trade and nothing else: a water heater, a furnace, a power hookup. The whole list is below.

See you Friday,
