Gwinnett County building permits — week of January 26–30, 2026

Dear Gwinnett,

Gwinnett County Schools pulled permits on five schools in the same week. The biggest is $420,000 at Collins Hill High on Taylor Road in Suwanee. Then $163,000 at Maxwell High and $103,000 at Give Center East, both in Lawrenceville. Grayson High and GSMST are in there too, though those two filings carry no dollar figure at all. Maxwell and GSMST are next door to each other on McElvaney Lane.

Costco is redoing its food court on Venture Drive in Duluth, $404,000 of interior work. Two restaurants also filed: Casa Comal Tacos and Birria on Jimmy Carter Boulevard in Norcross at $350,000, and a hotpot place going into a suite on Pleasant Hill Road in Duluth.

The single biggest permit of the week is a ten unit apartment building on Sugarloaf Parkway in Lawrenceville, filed as Sugarloaf Crest Building C1 at $1.89M. The biggest house is $1.63M for 5,042 square feet in Edinburgh out in Suwanee. Below those, Richardson Housing Group filed fourteen houses on a single street in Norcross, both sides of Fern River Bend, and Chafin Builders filed eleven split between Crofton Place in Snellville and Pinecrest Ridge in Dacula.
