Gwinnett County building permits — week of February 2–6, 2026

Vulcan Materials is putting $1.7M into something on Beaver Ruin Road in Norcross. The filing classes it as an accessory building and says nothing else about it. They pulled a second permit at the same address the same week for $75,000. It is the largest commercial permit of the week and the record does not tell you what it is.
Clearer elsewhere. A pediatric dentist is getting a whole new $1M building on Athens Highway in Loganville, with a $13,000 retaining wall permit alongside it. Pandora is fitting out a space at 5900 Sugarloaf Parkway for $230,000, and a tenant called All Strong filed $902,123 of interior work on Breckinridge Boulevard in Lawrenceville. Olive Garden on Mall Boulevard filed $1,101 to fix something mechanical.
Houses came in batches, most of them in Lawrenceville, which took 67 of the week's 162 filings on its own. Meritage filed thirteen at Martin Springs across four different streets. Lennar filed seven townhouses in a row on Rainwater Trace. CCG Constructors filed six on Brooks Ryan Run at $374,407 each, identical down to the dollar. Toll Brothers filed two houses on Ledgestone Way that both cleared $1M.

Hank · Columnist, GwinnettPulseOne permit in that Meritage batch is filed at $4M for a 1,926 square foot house. The two houses either side of it on Misty Springs Path came in at $437,000 and $485,000, both of them bigger. I am giving you the number the county published.
