What's getting built in Gwinnett County

Gwinnett County building permits — week of February 9–13, 2026

Dear Gwinnett,

Amazon filed a $25M permit for interior work at its ATL2 building on West Park Place in Stone Mountain. That is the largest single permit in the file this week and it is not close. The filing calls it interior finish and leaves the detail there.

Out on Pleasantdale Road in Doraville, the same contractor filed two industrial shell buildings at one address, $14.3M and $13.1M. Both are described only as storage and office space. Those two plus the Amazon permit account for more than half of all the money filed in the county this week.

Gwinnett County Schools pulled permits on eight schools at once. Brookwood High in Snellville is the biggest at $540,000, then Meadowcreek in Norcross at $480,000 and Parkview in Lilburn at $450,000. Archer, Mountain View, Shiloh, Peachtree Ridge and McClure Health and Science are all in there too. Every one of them is filed the same way, which tells you nothing about what is being done.

In the shops, Yankee Candle is spending $367,454 on a space at a Buford Drive address and a Firehouse Subs is going into a Loganville Highway suite for $145,000. Somebody is building an $824,382 convenience store on Old Norcross Road in Lawrenceville. Houses mostly went to Lawrenceville, where Taylor Morrison alone filed sixteen, split between Rosewood Farms and Dreycott. 160 permits, $90.9M, and the whole thing is below.

See you Friday,
