Gwinnett County building permits — week of February 16–20, 2026
Dear Gwinnett,
Boot Barn is fitting out a store at the Mall of Georgia. The permit covers interior finish work at 1690 Mall of Georgia Boulevard in Buford, about $523,000, filed by Action Retail Construction. Two smaller storefronts came in the same week. Second Opinion Physical Therapy is going into 1835 Park Place Boulevard in Stone Mountain, and American Title Loan is taking suite 170 on Stone Mountain Highway.
The biggest permit of the week is not a store. It is a single house on South Bogan Road in Buford, 6,158 heated square feet, $1.25M, with Isaac Construction listed as the builder. The filing gives it no name beyond the address.
The rest is mostly houses, and mostly the same few builders. D.R. Horton filed fourteen, split between Edgecombe Lane in Dacula, Champions Way in Loganville and Trident Maple Chase in Lawrenceville. Lennar filed six townhouses in a row on Humdala Place in Buford. Meritage filed four on Martin Spring Bend. That is 146 permits for the week, about $21.6M all together.
Everything under that is water heaters, furnaces and service upgrades. The whole list is here if you want to go looking for your own street.
See you Friday,
