What's getting built in Gwinnett County

Gwinnett County building permits — week of February 23–27, 2026

Dear Gwinnett,

Amazon filed a $13.25M permit for a conveyor. It is at the ATL2 building on West Park Place in Stone Mountain, the filing calls it phase 2, and Dematic Corp is doing the work. That one line is the biggest permit of the week by a wide margin, and the record says nothing more about it than the word conveyor.

Second biggest is a $10M interior finish at 455 Grayson Highway in Lawrenceville, filed as Gwinnett Central Services with Garrard Construction building it. It is interior work, so nothing new goes up on the lot. Over on Legacy Park Drive there is a $971,943 office shell going in, plus three more permits on the same building for finishing out the space inside.

Rockhaven Homes had a busy week. Eighteen permits, and thirteen of them are townhouses along one stretch of Lake Carlton Road in Loganville, addresses 3288 through 3301. Four more are houses on Kingsmere Run Drive, also Loganville. CCG Constructors did something similar on a smaller scale, seven townhouses in a row on Brooks Ryan Run in Lawrenceville, 1209 to 1221.

That is 192 permits on the week and about $63.4M, with the two big commercial jobs making up better than a third of the money on their own. Everything else is houses, water heaters and furnaces. The full list is here if you want to dig.

See you Friday,

The Applebee's on Pleasant Hill Road in Duluth pulled two permits the same week, one for interior finish and one filed under restaurants. Neither one lists a cost.
