Gwinnett County building permits — week of March 2–6, 2026
Dear Gwinnett,
Two hundred and forty eight apartments are going up on West Park Place Boulevard in Stone Mountain. They came in as four permits, one per building, at 80 units, 72, 48 and 48. The project is called the Flats at Mountain Marketplace and GS Construction is building it. The largest of the four buildings on its own is $11,986,629, and there is a fifth permit for the clubhouse.
Vulcan Materials filed six permits in one week, every one of them for its plant at 1707 Beaver Ruin Road in Norcross. A blending tunnel at $5.1M. Seven conveyors at $2.5M. Then a truck loadout station, a screening tower, a surge tunnel, and one small structure the filing calls only EEC 4. Lincoln Contracting is listed on all six.
Three businesses are fitting out space. Nidec Aerospace has $2.66M of interior work at 5855 Oakbrook Parkway in Norcross. Wipotec is putting an addition on its building at 825 Marathon Parkway in Lawrenceville, $1.8M. Levi's is finishing out a store at 3333 Buford Drive.
That is 171 permits and about $86.1M for the week, with the apartments and the Vulcan plant accounting for most of the money between them. Underneath all that it is houses, a handful each from Taylor Morrison, D.R. Horton and Lennar, spread across Loganville, Dacula and Bethlehem. The full list is here.
