Gwinnett County building permits — week of March 9–13, 2026
Dear Gwinnett,
Three developments put their plans in this week, and not one of them lists a dollar figure. Southeast Industrial Partners filed for a warehouse and distribution center at 5600 Jimmy Carter Boulevard in Norcross, 350,000 square feet. Toll Brothers filed Suwanee Reserve at 1600 Old Peachtree Road, 45 lots on 38 acres. Ashton Woods filed Suwanee Creek Crossing on Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road, a subdivision with a swim and tennis amenity.
The biggest permit with a number attached is a police training center at 854 Winder Highway in Lawrenceville, $4,829,000, filed as GC Police with Diversified Construction of Georgia on the job. It is an interior finish, so the building is already standing.
Businesses are building out space all over. GM Flooring has $2,009,000 of interior work at 1465 Lakes Parkway in Lawrenceville. Crunch Fitness is finishing a gym at 4051 Stone Mountain Highway in Lilburn, $1.6M. PNC Bank filed $1,057,778 for its space at 1725 Mall of Georgia Boulevard, and a second smaller permit at the same address. Vulcan Materials added a finishing screening station at its Beaver Ruin Road plant, $1.8M.
Toll Brothers was busy on the housing side too, four permits on Emberstone Circle in Lawrenceville out in Ledgestone, the largest of them $1,343,479 for 4,911 heated square feet. That makes 142 permits on the week and about $36.6M. The rest is furnaces, water heaters and panel upgrades. Go read the list yourself if a street name catches your eye.
See you Friday,
Hank · Columnist, GwinnettPulseChampion Wings and Fish is fitting out a space on Herrington Road in Lawrenceville, $150,000. Velluto Cafe is taking suite 800 on Stone Mountain Highway.
