What's getting built in Gwinnett County

Gwinnett County building permits — week of March 30 – April 3, 2026

Dear Gwinnett,

Greater Atlanta Christian School is putting up an athletic building on Indian Trail Lilburn Road in Norcross. At $3.9M it is the biggest permit filed all week. The paperwork calls it an athletic accessory building and leaves it at that. Garrard Construction is doing the work.

In Duluth, GW Construction pulled seven separate permits at 2131 Pleasant Hill Road, all of them for the Mall Corners food court. The main one is $2.3M. Four more cover spec spaces at $142,000 to $172,000 apiece, and two small ones name a single room each.

Three builders spent the week filing the same townhouse over and over. Taylor Morrison filed ten at Chandler Run in Tucker, every one of them $398,675 and 1,997 square feet. Beazer filed eight at Town Village at Suwanee Dam in Buford, all at $501,943. Thurgood Construction filed six on Thurgood Court in Snellville, all at $373,737. Twenty-four townhouses, three numbers.

The rest is ordinary. Water heaters, furnace swaps, a few solar hookups, and restaurant interiors going in around Duluth and Norcross. Call it $43M of building in one week, and most of it is people's houses. It is all in the county's file if you want to read it yourself.

See you Friday,

Vulcan Materials filed two permits at its quarry on Beaver Ruin Road in Norcross, $1.7M each. One is a crushing station. The other the county lists as electrical work.
