What's getting built in Gwinnett County

Gwinnett County building permits — week of April 13–17, 2026

Dear Gwinnett,

Somebody is pouring the foundation of a parking deck on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth, and the foundation by itself is $9.6M. Brasfield & Gorrie filed it. The paperwork calls it Parking Deck 4 at the Gas South District and says foundation only, so the deck on top of it is still to come.

The county spent the week building for itself. $8M to finish the fourth floor of a school on McElvaney Lane in Lawrenceville. $6,655,000 at the F. Wayne Hill water plant in Buford. $4M to remodel the library administration building on Lawrenceville Highway. Those three together are about a third of everything filed.

On the shopping side of things, Crunch Fitness is putting $1,015,000 into a gym on Scenic Highway in Lawrenceville. J Crew Factory filed $591,000 for an interior on Woodward Crossing Boulevard in Buford. Wells Fargo filed on two of its buildings, $350,000 on Buford Drive and $200,000 on Indian Trail Lilburn Road. Casa Azul Cantina is spending $300,000 on a suite off Duluth Highway. And Rooms To Go filed $1,003,540 on Vista Ridge Court in Suwanee, all of it for roof repairs.

The houses came in clumps. AMH Development filed seven on Emzy Drive in Loganville, ranging from $412,567 to $528,722. CCG Constructors filed five townhouses on Underwood Drive in Lawrenceville, every one of them $374,407 and 1,842 square feet. Chafin filed five more on Secret Garden Lane in Dacula. The week comes to $59.4M all told, and the county publishes every line of it.

See you Friday,
