Gwinnett County building permits — week of May 4–8, 2026
Dear Gwinnett,
D R Horton filed eleven houses on Edgecombe Lane in Dacula. Not eleven around Dacula. Eleven on the one street. They run from $482,026 to $607,386 and between 2,431 and 3,216 square feet.
That was the shape of the whole week. Stanley Martin filed seven on Willow Glade Trail in Lawrenceville. Toll Brothers filed six at Ledgestone, five of them on Emberstone Circle and one on Origin Way at $1,339,797. Thurgood Construction filed six on Thurgood Court in Snellville, every single one priced at $373,737. Meritage filed five at Parkside at Grayson.
The biggest permit of the week is a house too, out on Ewing Chapel Road in Dacula. It is 6,745 square feet at $1,584,324, filed by Star Construction & Development. The business side stayed small next to that. The largest commercial permit all week was $700,000 for interior work at a Kroger on Buford Drive in Lawrenceville.
It comes to $48.7M, and nearly all of it is people's houses. The county posts every permit it issues. This week you could read the list as a list of streets.
See you Friday,
Hank · Columnist, GwinnettPulseWalmart filed $435,000 on Rockbridge Road in Stone Mountain. The county lists it as miscellaneous construction and says nothing else about what it is.
