Gwinnett County building permits — week of May 25–29, 2026

A whole apartment complex went in on paper this week. Oxford Properties filed nine permits at 1735 Duluth Highway in Lawrenceville for Duluth Commons: five buildings holding 197 apartments between them, the biggest at $11.4M, plus a $729,526 clubhouse, a pool pump house, a trash enclosure and a pergola for the dog park. All of it on one address, all of it in one week.
Taylor Morrison spent the week on a single street. Eighteen houses on Dreycott Lane in Lawrenceville, sixteen of them in two straight runs of eight. The run at 2703 through 2717 is priced at $480,185 a house, every one identical. The run across the way at 2690 through 2704 is $398,508 a house, same deal. Lennar did the same thing in Buford, eight townhomes at Towns at Ivy Creek marching down Kuza Court from 3802 to 3816. SDH Atlanta did it in Lawrenceville, eight at Franklin Manor on Jacobs Farm Lane, numbers 30 through 44.
On the commercial side, Vulcan Materials is putting about $2M of machinery on Beaver Ruin Road in Norcross. The permit describes it as four conveyors and one transfer station. Amazon filed $1,575,000 of interior work on Northmont Parkway in Duluth and the description just says storage. A place called the Bep Teahouse filed $771,939 on Oakbrook Parkway, and the Walmart on Centerville Highway in Snellville pulled $668,012 in electrical work alone.
