Gwinnett County building permits — week of July 20–24, 2026
Dear Gwinnett,
The biggest thing filed in Gwinnett this week was not a building. It was a pump station. The county put in a $20,127,000 permit for the Suwanee Creek pump station on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, and Lakeshore Engineering is doing the work. Nothing else came within ten times of it.
Behind that it was houses, and a few of them in pairs. Two went up on Bold Springs Road in Dacula, next door to each other, filed by the same builder. Two more on Braselton Highway in Lawrenceville came in at $1,046,565 each, to the dollar, which is what happens when one plan gets built twice.
The busiest names on the stack were not builders at all. Reliable Heating and Air filed 25 permits and TE Certified filed 23, all of it the quiet work of replacing what people already have. Meritage Homes was the busiest actual homebuilder at 16.
