Gwinnett County building permits — week of July 27–31, 2026
Dear Gwinnett,
Vulcan Materials is putting $1.8M into its place off Beaver Ruin Road in Norcross. That is the largest single filing of the week, and the paperwork does not say what the money is for, only that Lincoln Contracting is doing the work.
Everything behind it was houses. Three of them went in on Camp Branch Road in Buford on the same day, same builder, same $1,053,092 each, which is what it looks like when a subdivision gets built a row at a time rather than a house at a time. Clayton Properties Group filed 36 permits on its own this week. Nobody else came close.
The one storefront worth naming is a Chick-fil-A in Duluth, just under a million dollars. Beyond that it was 222 filings across 13 cities, about $48M in all, and most of it people building somewhere to live.
The full record has every one of them if you want to see where.
See you Friday,
P.S. Somebody in Grayson is building two identical houses in Parkside, lots 56 and 61, for $659,940 apiece.
