Gwinnett County building permits — week of July 27–31, 2026

The biggest filing of the week is a $1.8M permit on Beaver Ruin Road in Norcross. The paperwork says what it is: a finishing tower, going up as a complete structure rather than an addition, with Lincoln Contracting doing the work. The site is written down as Vulvan Material Company, spelled that way in the record, which looks like the county's typo.
The five filings behind it were houses. Three of them went in on Camp Branch Road in Buford, two on Wednesday and the third on Thursday, same builder, same $1,053,092 each, which is what it looks like when a subdivision gets built a row at a time rather than a house at a time. Clayton Properties Group filed 36 permits on its own this week. Nobody else came close.
The one storefront worth naming is a Chick-fil-A in Duluth, just under a million dollars. It was the seventh biggest permit of the week, and one of 37 commercial filings that came to $5.2M together. Beyond that it was 222 filings across 13 cities, about $48M in all, and most of it people building somewhere to live.
