Gwinnett County building permits — week of August 10–14, 2026

Seven permits came out this week for one address in Duluth. All of them are 6405 Sugarloaf Parkway, all of them are filed by Hospitality Constructors, all of them are interior finish work on a hotel, and all of them sit under the project name the county typed as CM-THE STRICKLANDER - MARRIOT. Two are $4,250,000 each. Four are $74,000 each. The seventh carries no dollar figure at all. Five of the seven put the floor at 23,967 square feet. It is the biggest thing on the list this week by a distance, and the filings say nothing else about it.
A Zaxby's is going up at 2805 Buford Drive in Buford. Complete building, $575,808, filed by U.S. General Construction. It is the only permit this week for a commercial building put up from nothing. Two spec suites on Satellite Boulevard in Duluth, $296,156 and $191,653, both by Merit Construction. A laundromat on New Hope Road in Lawrenceville, $110,000. A QuikTrip on Stone Mountain Highway, $125,000 of interior work. The odd one is Vulcan Materials on Beaver Ruin Road in Norcross, which pulled a $1,700,000 permit for its quarry and filed it as electrical only. That is the third largest single permit of the week, behind the two big hotel permits.
Taylor Morrison filed the same townhouse nine times. Each one at $398,507.97, each one 1,893 heated square feet. Six of them run in a row on Epperly Way in Tucker, numbers 79 through 89, all issued Friday. The other three are on Dreycott Lane in Lawrenceville, issued the day before. DRB Group did a shorter version of the same thing in Loganville, four townhouses on Donovan Circle at $376,080.39 apiece. Lennar filed nine houses at Appaloosa Park in Bethlehem, and Stanley Martin filed six at Beacon at Old Peachtree in Lawrenceville, five of those on Willow Glade Trail. The most expensive house of the week is a Toll Brothers filing at 2015 Emberstone Circle in Ledgestone, $1,362,726.54 for 4,794 heated square feet.
That is 201 permits for the week, $46,148,992.29 between them. Most of the count is small stuff you would never notice: water heaters, service upgrades to 200 amp, a shed in Duluth for $9,717, a car charger outlet in Snellville for $750.
